In June 1986 Dr Heide Taylor, a member of the Adelaide Zonta Club and who was known as Mother Zonta, arranged several meetings with a number of professional women in the Hills area with a view to founding a new Club.
We became a part of Zonta International in February 1987 with the first President, Dr. Joy O’Hazy and Vice President, Pat Mudge.
The Charter Dinner of the Zonta Club of the Adelaide Hills Area was held at Mt Lofty Golf Club in October 1987 and was attended by 34 Charter members.
